Tennessee - Just starting their legislative and taxation review season. The ICRA is working with them to help steer any such legislation or bill introductions to minimize taxation that is constantly directed in so many states towards our industry. No bills have been introduced so far but stay tuned as they move through this review period while we work together to develop solutions that help the state while also minimizing the exposure to our your profits.
Maine – Update: Big Win! Thanks to everyone that helped, as we successfully got the state of Maine to “kill” their own bill which would have eliminated the sales tax exemption for resale certificates all use in Maine to purchase new and used vehicles for their fleets “without” having to pay any sales tax on those fleet vehicles.
